KickStart 2016 – Semi-Finals

2016 Kickstart has seen some fantastic businesses enter this year.

Our semi-final interviews took place on the 20th & 21st September within our Tamworth Office and were conducted by both Adrian Blount, Business Development Director & myself.

Both Adrian and myself agreed that this has been one of the hardest years so far to decide on the line up for the KickStart final. The entrepreneurs that applied this year were of the highest quality and it has made the decision the toughest one in the 4 years of the competition. After 5 days of deliberating we have had to pick our three finalists, therefore I am pleased to announce that the KickStart 2016 finalists are:

Ben – cazesports.com

Ben is building a professional gaming brand to tap into the growing market of competitive gaming. . His plan is to promote ‘pop up’ gaming events across the country where the gamers will be able to compete in professional tournaments.

Sophie & Susie – snookswear.co.uk

Snooks is the first British skiing and snowboarding outerwear brand just for women made in the UK. Built upon their passion for winter sports Sophie and Susie have designed an exclusive range of clothing they hope will take the slopes by storm.

Daniel – BucktUK

Buckt is the UK’s first experience based subscription box and digital community. Inspired by the idea of a bucket list, each month the subscribers get 8-10 exciting and inspiring activities and challenges delivered to their door.

Our work is done now, this year for the first time the decision over the winner is down to the audience at our finals night gala at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on the 10th November.

Thank you to everyone who has applied this year, as I said it’s been the toughest one yet but I would like to wish you all the success in the future.
