Guy Waterman joins the Baldwins Group
One of the UK’s fastest growing accountancy firms has made a new senior appointment to manage the company’s increasing client base.
Guy Waterman has joined the Baldwins Accountancy Group from the Lloyds Banking Group as Head of Client Services, a newly created role designed to help Baldwins maximise its added-value services across new clients.
Over the past 18 months Baldwins has acquired 24 accountancy firms as part of a strategic expansion plan – which in turn has seen the number of small to medium sized businesses they service soar to more than 70,000, while the number of Baldwins offices have also grown from 16 to 42
In his new role, Guy will be responsible for helping Baldwins’ account managers identify suitable added-value services for each of their clients covering areas such as corporate finance, banking and finance, software and payroll.
Guy’s career spans over 32 years in the banking industry where he spent time in various roles across the Branch & Commercial banking networks. In 1994, he joined the banks Financial Markets division in London where he held various senior positions leading & managing teams of Financial risk management professional’s covering the banks Global Corporate & Mid- market client base. In 2005, he relocated to the Midlands, where he was responsible for establishing & heading up the bank’s regional Financial Risk management centres across the UK, leading & managing large teams of Financial Risk managers across the network with specific focus on finding appropriate risk management solutions to the banks SME & Mid-market client base.
With his experience gained in the banking industry over the last 32 years, Guy will now be responsible for the strategic implementation & delivery of the group’s added value product & service offering to the current office network & client base – Guy said “ I am joining the Baldwins group of companies at a very exciting time.
