Firm adds to entrepreneurial expertise with key senior appointment

A leading Kent accountancy and business advisory firm has added to its entrepreneurial expertise with a key senior appointment.

Wilkins Kennedy have appointed Hayley Kingsnorth as Client Services Director at their Ashford office, which services a diverse range of  businesses across the region.

Hayley joins the group from a top 15 accountancy firm, bringing more than 18 years of experience working with owner managed businesses, particularly within the property and technology sectors.

Her new role will involve helping Kent businesses to maximise financial growth opportunities including diversifying services, streamlining operations with digital systems, and accessing tax reliefs.

The appointment comes after Wilkins Kennedy’s Ashford office recently became part of CogitalGroup, which now has 92 offices throughout the UK, employing more than 2,800 staff with an annual turnover of approximately £200m.

Hayley said: “The company is on an ambitious journey of its own currently after joining CogitalGroup, so this was too good an opportunity to turn down.

“Businesses are enduring an uncertain period at the moment, not least because of Brexit, and it’s important now more than ever that they are identifying ways to grow.

“These opportunities for growth can manifest themselves in many different forms including improvements in processes, taking opportunities for grants and reliefs, accounting methods, or external investments, so to be able to use the firm’s spread of cross-sector expertise to help Kent businesses makes us ideally placed to help the region’s firms to thrive.”

Rob Reynolds, Managing Partner at the Ashford office, believes Hayley’s appointment is a coup for the firm.

He added: “Hayley has nearly two decades of experience advising SMEs in the region and is well-versed in the range of opportunities open to the business community, as well as being aware of their concerns.

“Combining Hayley’s expertise with the specialist resources available to put business recommendations into practice is what will continue to set us apart, and we are looking forward to working with her to help grow Kent’s business landscape.”
