Baldwins is supporting a new comparison website that is disrupting the UK’s tyre industry to launch after helping them to secure a multi-million pound investment.

Motokiki, the UK’s first truly independent tyre comparison website was co-founded by ex confused.com managing director Debra Williams and tyre industry expert Richard Bailey in November 2018,  and it is the first comparison site in the UK to scan the tyre market, providing impartial results for users.

Andrew Isaacs, Senior Manager at Baldwins’ Cardiff office on Dunleavey Drive, was instrumental in creating Motokiki’s initial five-year forecasting to enable them to secure £3 million worth of funding from external investors.

Andrew is the second Baldwins staff member to advise Motokiki, with Baldwins Partner Roy Birtles also acting as the company’s secretary after advising on the initial launch of the firm.

Andrew said: “We’ve been able to really get under the skin of this business to project in-depth, tailored yearly financial forecasts, which has involved creating different scenarios and seeing how they impact upon cash flow.

“This information has played a key role in influencing investors to place substantial investment in Motokiki.

“We have been with the business from the very start, so this is a working relationship that we are very proud of.

“Motokiki addresses a gap in the consumer market by bringing the retail tyre industry into the digital age, and we look forward to working with the business as it expands over the coming months and years.”
