Local accountancy firm sponsors Lancashire Red Rose Awards 2020
Baldwins, a CogitalGroup company, has announced its sponsorship of the tenth annual Lancashire Red Rose Awards 2020.
The annual ceremony has become the biggest night in Lancashire’s business calendar, celebrating successes and inspiring stories, promoting local companies and aiming to boost trade within the county.
The accounting and business advisory firm, which has three offices in Lancashire, is sponsoring the Medium Business Award, set to recognise firms which have invested and developed new products, services, techniques, skills and processes to meet the changing demands of the market.
Susanna Cassey, Baldwins Lancaster Office Managing Partner, who will be a judge of the awards, is looking forward to the prestigious event. She said: “Even though Baldwins is a national company with over 95 offices and 3,000 employees across the UK, our local offices are very much still focused on the local businesses and their needs. So, it is important to support events, such as the Red Rose awards to continue to grow our business community. We now have three offices that fall within Lancashire, so it is fantastic to be able to support such a long-standing Lancashire event and our local areas.
“I feel incredibly privileged to be a judge and it’s going to be a fantastic evening. The awards provide a fantastic platform to promote local business success and with categories relevant to all businesses, there’s opportunity for everyone to showcase their story to the wider community.”
There are 25 awards on offer at the Red Rose Awards, ensuring the event caters for businesses of all types, sizes and industries. The winners will be selected from the hundreds of nominations submitted, and they will be revealed before an audience of more than 1,100 at a celebratory dinner at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool, on March 12th.
Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View (LBV), which organises the event, said: “The Red Rose Awards grow in popularity every year, with more and more businesses getting involved. The passionate support of businesses of the calibre of Baldwins proves how exciting and vibrant the Lancashire economy is and that the community is enthusiastic about the opportunity to come together and celebrate each other’s successes.”
Stephen Bolton, commercial director for LBV, said: “Baldwins is a great supporter of everything that we do, from our print magazine to our biggest events, and we value the relationship that we have built with the team.
“I am really looking forward to working alongside Susanna throughout the judging process and congratulating all the winners at the event itself.”
