As a Third Line Support Engineer at our Aldridge Office you will act as a point of escalation for infrastructure tickets in various office and cloud central environments and provide assistance on various project work. You will have a solid background within IT providing first class services to clients. Experience in implementing technical solutions, supporting of servers, desktops, and network infrastructure. You must have strong experience of technical troubleshooting and problem solving.

As a Third Line Support Engineer at our Aldridge Office, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Being the main point of escalation for infrastructure tickets in various office and cloud central environments
  • Project work on various security, infrastructure and centralisation areas
  • Migrations of various legacy environments into central cloud infrastructure
  • Implementing a variety of technical solutions
  • Supporting desktops, servers and network infrastructure
  • Supporting a range of both internal staff and external clients
  • Building strong client relationships

As a First Line Support Technician at our Aldridge Office your skills and qualifications will include:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and above
  • Good knowledge of virtualisation including VMware and Hyper-v
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010+
  • Good knowledge/experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs
  • Good knowledge of setting up and maintaining switches, routers and firewalls
  • Good knowledge of backup technologies
  • Knowledge of Office 365 particularly in a hybrid environment
  • Knowledge of SQL Server 2008+
  • Knowledge of Storage Area Networks
  • Knowledge of Windows Script Host/VBScript/PowerShell
  • Experience of patch management deployment/Windows Software Update Services
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7+
  • MCSE/MCITP or equivalent IT Qualifications an advantage
  • Migration experience would be beneficial
