We are looking for an experienced and ambitious restructuring & insolvency professional to Join as a Director and Appointment Taker in our Business Restructuring and Insolvency team. The ideal candidate will have a desire join our established national team, based in the heart of Manchester city centre and to work with us to continue to grow our business.

You will have a proven track record of delivering corporate restructuring, solvent and insolvency projects as a lead advisor. You will also be capable of dealing with personal insolvency matters.

You will be a confident client-facing advisor with extensive experience of providing restructuring & insolvency advice to stakeholders and have a proven track record of business development with commitment to support the wider Partner group with sales activity. Excellent communication skills and understanding risk management are essential for the available role.

Our wide client base, comprises entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses, leading professional practices, international corporate organisations, public sector organisations and private individuals.

You will take responsibility as lead IP for a mixed portfolio of cases, responsible for them from initial advice to conclusion and release from office.

You will have a genuine desire for teamwork, to drive the business forward and be able to show continued growth. You will be highly motivated and a confident self-starter with great leadership skill and the desire to make the role your own and take ownership whilst maintaining team ethos.

As a Director at our Manchester office, your main responsibilities will include:

  •  Working in the existing BRI team alongside current IPS to deliver quality restructuring and insolvency advice to the internal and external market
  • To uphold the team and organisation values including:
    • An excellent standard of compliance on all formal cases
    • Development of staff through teamwork and coaching
    • Ethos of best advice in all circumstances to stakeholders
    • Together with the other IPs, managing the risks inherent in acting as Office Holders
  • A commitment to Business Development and to support the wider Partner group (regionally and nationally) in a drive for sales

As a Director at our Manchester office, your skills and qualifications will include:

  •  JIE
  • Licence to act as an Insolvency Practitioner in the UK
  • Preferably ACA/ACCA/LPC
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, leadership and decision making ability
  • Experience of working with IPS or equivalent insolvency software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of generating restructuring work
